Welcome to wings & talons

Wings & Talons offers you with a memorable opportunity to get up close, handle and fly birds of prey. To encounter the 'Sport of Kings' and to promote conservation of wild birds, through educational talks and demonstrations.

Set in the captive heart of rural Wiltshire, near Lacock (Harry Potter location), with a stunning natural backdrop of English farmland, woodlands and hills. A walk through fields, flying the birds, is completely relaxing yet exhilarating.

History

Falconry is over 400 years old, originally thought to be from China. Falconry can be described as the sport of hunting wild prey (or quarry), in its natural state and habitat by means of trained hawks.

We should never forget that we are all being allowed to enter their world and that they are all birds of prey, not pets. They are signs of how our environment is doing. If there are plenty of bird of prey species around, we have a balanced habitat supporting it below it. I feel it important that we continue to maintain our environment and uphold our balance of nature.
